This Week's Program

Terri Jenkins is the executive director of the South Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross. Originally from Florida, she has been a resident of Valdosta since 1997 and has worked in the non-profit arena for 20 years. Formerly a board member for the American Red Cross of South Georgia serving as the Recording Secretary and Philanthropy Committee Chair, Terri became executive director in 2009.

Terri began her non-profit career working at the Children’s Advocacy Center in 1998 as the Administrative Assistant and later became the Outreach Coordinator. Her non-profit path continued with jobs at United Way as the Public Relations Intern and at the Turner Center for the Arts as the Event Coordinator. In 2004, she received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree in Speech Communication with Public Relations Emphasis from Valdosta State. Through various positions, Terri feels that each one taught her something valuable that prepared her for her role with the Red Cross.

Terri is a board member and president nominee of the Valdosta Rotary Club and The Exchange Club of Valdosta. She is an alumnus of the Leadership Lowndes Class of 2016. She is a proud mother to Leah and Caitlin.
