Score for Polio Plus

Rotary Club of North Fulton set a goal to significantly increase the Polio Plus giving. Our Foundation Chair, Doug Higgins, came up with a fun way to accomplish this. He created the Score for Polio Plus football pool. Members committed a certain amount of money for each point their favorite team scored for the entire football season. This was a very engaging way for members to participate in raising funds for such an important cause. A spreadsheet appeared in our club newsletter to let everyone know who was "in the lead" and there was plenty of trash talking at our lunch meetings. In addition, discussing the friendly competition at each meeting afforded the opportunity to keep the importance of Polio eradication front and center for nearly 6 months.
