Regular Meeting Location Update

On Thursday, March 5, regular club meetings will return to the Plaza Restaurant at 12:15 p.m. Jackie Leatherman, president and CEO of Discover Thomasville, will be our guest speaker at our first meeting back at the Plaza.

As part of the transition, service projects chair Melanie Cromartie has announced a team to strengthen the club’s relationshi… with the Vashti Center.

Third Thursday meetings at Second Harvest to pack produce will continue at 11:30 a.m.

Rotary Youth Exchange Student Ivan Update

Ivan Santoyo – Thomasville's first-ever Rotary Youth Exchange student – has been having a great year in France, and the Landerneau Rotary Club sent us a copy of his latest speech to the host club. Watch it here.

I may not speak French, but it sure sounds like Ivan does (well)! We can't wait to hear about his French experiences once he returns home at the end of the current academic year – in English, I hope.

Plan ahead: Saturday, March 21
Thomasville Ritz Music Festival

The Thomasville R.E.A.D. Foundation and the Rotary Club of Thomasville are planning the inaugural Thomasville Ritz Music Festival on Saturday, March 21, featuring an incredible variety of music performances – country, R&B, country rock, pop, southern soul funk, and music from some of the best DJs in the Southeast.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit R.E.A.D. and power its literacy initiative and support other life-changing programs and partnerships for children in K-12 schools in our community.

To become a sponsor or for more information, contact Stephan Thompson (404.488.2761). To volunteer, contact Angela Williamson (229.977.2657) or sign up here.
