Rotary Club of North Fulton & Leadership 5-Tier Structure - Overview

The Object of Rotary is to “encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.”  Since 1910, the Rotary motto has been “Service Above Self.”  Rotary is a service organization and The Rotary Club of North Fulton prides itself on it service to others.  This is evident in the Club's theme:  "North Fulton Rotary:  Where A Few Hands Touch Many Hearts."   

 

Club leadership in individual Rotary Clubs is organized into five areas, called the Leadership Five Tier Structure.  These areas include:  Club Administration, Public Relations, Membership, Service Projects, and Rotary Foundation.  Information about The Rotary Club of North Fulton's efforts in these various areas are found throughout the Club's website.  To learn more about each of these areas, please click on the various links below.  Thank you for your interest in our Club!

 

1.  Club Administration.  This area includes such items as:

     (i)   Weekly programs (which are found on the right margin of the homepage of this website),

     (ii)  Club Assemblies, which are held periodically throughout the Rotary year to enable Club members to learn more about all of the Club activities,

     (iii) Club History (which can be found on the Club History page of this website), and

     (iv)  Long-Range Planning, which is conducted through the Club's Long-Range Planning Committee and implemented through the Club's Board. 

 

2.  Public Relations.  The Rotary Club of North Fulton is an active member of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce and members participate in Chamber activities, including a booth at the annual Chamber Expo.  The Club has appeared in local newspapers and the District 6900 Newsletter to recognize its achievements.  For links to the various newpaper articles, the District 6900 Newsletter, and the Club's press releases, please visit the RCNF In the News page.

 

3.  Membership.  The Rotary Club of North Fulton is proud of its members and their professionalism.  Each member receives and agrees to abide by the Declaration of Rotarians in Businesses and Professions.  Prospective members receive a short introduction to Rotary and to the Rotary Club of North Fulton to familiarize them with the rights and obligations of membership.  After a member is inducted, each new member receives an orientation to learn more about Rotary International, District 6900, The Rotary Foundation, and the Rotary Club of North Fulton.  For information on Club members, please visit the Club Members page.

 

4.  Service Projects.  The Rotary of North Fulton is well-known for its service projects, and has achieved awards and recognition for its service to others, both locally and internationally.  Please visit the various pages to learn of the Club's projects in the four avenues of service:  Club Service, Vocational Service, Community Service, and International Service.

 

5.  Rotary Foundation.  The Rotary Club of North Fulton is proud of its strong heritage in support of The Rotary Foundation.  Since its charter, each member has been a Paul Harris Sustaining Member, the Club is a 100% Paul Harris Fellow Club, and more than a third of its members are Paul Harris Society members.  To learn more about the Club's giving to The Rotary Foundation, please visit the Club History page (including the detailed history), and the Club's Rotary Foundation giving page.
